Announcing a new Meetup for Dunedin Skeptics in the Pub!

This will be the first meeting of Dunedin Skeptics in the Pub.

At this stage I'm a little fuzzy on just what we should be talking about, but certainly we need to discuss how to find more Skeptics from Dunedin and get them to help support these meetings. So the more local knowledge the better!

First meeting

I thoroughly enjoyed the inaugural Dunedin Skeptics in the Pub meeting last night, and wished I had stayed longer. next time I won't be driving!
It was great to meet other people who listen to the same podcasts, read the same websites, and are really pro-science. Let's work on getting Randi over here some time.

The NZ Skeptics Inc are in the process of trying to get that to happen. :) There's a conference next year that he will hopefully be attending and we're checking out the possibility of getting a number of the speakers to extend their time down under to allow for a speaking tour of NZ.

Thanks too to Gold for making the heroic trip down from Christchurch, arriving just in time! And heading back early in the morning, too …
