Planning

This forum is a restricted forum. Or at least it will be once I get the permissions sorted out.

The purpose is to provide a place to plan the podcasts out of the public eye. Posts here can include uploads of audio files for others to listen to and provide feedback on, planning for which segments are included in any one podcast and which order the segments should be in.

First things first though; getting the permissions working.

Permissions

These should be sorted out now. If you don't have the podcaster role (you should have been informed via the callout thread) and can still see this, please let me know.

I'm here

My permissions are working fine.

Yep, looks like they're working.

Will do a quick logout check after to see if I can't see it.

And just to help get the ball rolling here are my online contact details.

Edit: Yep, couldn't see this forum when logged out.

ideas for interviews

I'd like to interview my father, Bob Brockie, who writes a weekly science column in the Dom Post. He's a good skeptic, and also has/had polio, so I'd like to talk to him about vaccination.
I also have a friend who is an Ass Pro archeologist at Otago Uni. He was involved with the recent Wairau Bar excavation, and is very interesting and funny talking about various woo-woo theories about NZ's pre-history.
Plus I work at Natural history NZ, and can talk to various natural history and science camera people, producers, etc.
I can probably get access to recording equipment here, and can edit stuff on my PC at home.

He's your dad?

That's really neat. I do enjoy reading his column and how he's pretty damn polite when dealing with the woo.

yup.

He gets a lot of flack from the woo-woos about some of his columns.Particularly anything to do with 1080, organic farming and creationism.

Great ideas

These are great Katie. Can you make an individual post to this forum for each of these topics? List who(Bob obviously) and what topic the interview is about. The important thing is being able to split these up into separate posts so that we can better manage them when it comes to assembling the podcasts.

Cheers,
Gold

researcher here

Hi all,

I'm currently studying for a Masters in Philosophy (neuroscience of moral intuitions is my topic area) so I'd be keen to help with research and any other way I can help with content.

I also consider myself a fairly zany guy so I wouldn't mind helping with reporting and comic relief too ;)

I presume I told Gold as much when I saw him in person, hence me being able to access this forum. Unless of course your permissions are broken!
