I'm very envious of you big city slickers getting all the good times. It would be nice to catch up with some like-minded people in the (insert current brand here = knowledge/rose/young heart) City.

There was mention on the nzskeptics list about interest in Palmy. Are you on the maillist or the NZSkeptics faceplant group?
Ask around and see how many others you can pull together. If we can get the numbers I'll help you get a Meetup group sorted. I currently have 2 spare groups I can create.

New Meetup?
If we can get enough interested to get this thing self sustaining I'll setup up palmy.skepticsinthepub.net.nz and point it at a meetup group for it. I currently have 2 meetup groups I can add on the current subscription.
Slosh, are you able to scratch up any interest on campus there?

A rather belated entry but I was one who was interested in a palmy meeting. I think I mentioned it on the list and talked to a few people at the conference. I didn't get the sense there was much other interest but would be more than happy to get involved if there were a few others too.
In Palmy as well,
I didn't get to meet any other Palmy people at the conference IIRC, thought I was pretty isolated. I would be keen to meet up for a drink too.
Just seen some of the dates on this thread, so I may way behind on this - but the thread just popped into my inbox this weekend.
