2009-11-25 : Free Humanist Society Lectures at the Library

Announcing a new Meetup for Wellington Skeptics in the Pub!

What: Free Humanist Society Lectures at the Library

When: October 25, 2009 1:00 PM

Where:
Central Library
65 Victoria Street
Wellington

This Sunday (25 October) from 1- 4pm the Humanist Society is holding 2 public lectures about 2 major conflicts of Western Civilisation. The first is entitled 'Galileo, Politics and Religion' and the second is entitled 'Four Horsemen of the New Enlightenment: Sagan, Dawkins, Harris & Dennett'. The lectures are free and the venue is the mezzanine floor of the Central Public Library. It would be great to see some skeptics there and perhaps a session at the pub afterwards would be a good idea. If you want to find me at the lectures - I will be chairing them.

P.S. Jo and I have been sick all week (flu), so I doubt we'll make it to the pub tonight (Fri), but we intend to make the lectures on Sunday.
