Vitamin C plays vital role in battle against cancer

So, according to a recent news release a study headed by Ass. Prof. Margreet Vissers at the University of Otago has found a link between vitamin C and cancer. I haven't read the paper yet but to be honest if the content is anything like the abstract I don't think I'm going to get very far. :P

HCCC rule on AVN

The complaint filed with the HCCC against the AVN by Ken McLeod and Toni & David MacCaffery has been upheld. While this is a big win for rationality the next question is will the AVN follow through with the ruling? Does the HCCC have teeth?

An over worked friend was talking about science journalism while I was walking home the other day. Victoria University is distancing itself from a course it is offering in the controversial alternative medicine homeopathy.

The course "Homoeopathy: increasing your health awareness" is being offered through its Community Continuing Education programme in a one-off two hour lecture.
